Chapter 31: next task get a share of treasure

 

He has decided to think of these things after going out of this fantasy world. Also there will be free time for him to think when he is on the ship for at least 3 months.

 

On the day of the journey Lord Trelawney looked anxious and furious.

 

The reason for this is last night Vikram went to steal the money and goods of Lord Trelawney.

 

But he cannot stop the preset journey as it will cost him even more.

 

So he can only trust his butler to make the investigation with the local guards while he is on a voyage.

 

The protagonist Jim did not bring his mother.

 

She was arranged to stay at Lord Trelawney mansion while they were away treasure hunting.

 

Finally they reached the port where the ship Hispaniola is waiting for them.

 

It is a schooner with three masts: fore, main, and mizzen.

 

The estimated crew is around 50 where most of them are pirates.

 

Vikram met with these people and was introduced to cook silver by the ship’s captain Smollet.

 

Since Vikram has already met with the captain he doesn’t have to be formal with him and fit in quickly.

 

Vikram finally met the most important pirate one legged silver of this Treasure Island story plot.

 

In the fits meeting silver smiled amiable and said some pleasantries to Vikram before captain Smollet.

 

But after captain Smollet left them to get familiar with each other as ship’s cooks, silver spoke to Vikram.

 

“You looked quite young for a cook and there is a smell of seaman coming from you.

 

May I know where you hail from Mister Vicky?”

 

Vikram smiled and said.

 

“Mister Silver, my country of origin is India.

 

You should have heard about the east India Company’s recent endowers towards my country right.

 

I was just an orphan that was able to receive the kindness of some white men to come all the way here.

 

So it is not strange for me to have the scent of the sea….”

 

Silver looked deep into the eyes of Vikram with some smile and changed the topic as they moved to the kitchen of the ship.

 

They checked the storage of the ship to see if all the goods are procured for the voyage.

 

After they are done checking silver left Vikram saying that he has to take care of some of the crew members that he recruited.

 

Vikram simply smiled and let him go.

 

Vikram moved around the ship observing the crew one by one and assessing people between player and pirates.

 

Vikram was able to successfully mix in with the story line characters so it was very hard to discover Vikram being a player by other players.

 

The protagonist Jim has became a cabin boy and came close to silver.

 

On that very day after some initial preparations the ship set off.

 

As soon as the ship set sail Vikram received a notification from the fantasy system.

 

“Congratulations on completing the elimination task of boarding the ship.

 

Rewards 1000 chaos points received.”

 

“Main task updated”

 

Main task: get a share in the treasure of captain flint

 

Rewards: the percentage of your share will give you the corresponding rewards at the end of the story completion.

 

Conditions: take your share of treasure and board back the ship for the return sail.

 

Only then will your share of the treasure be calculated.

 

Hints: Player killing is possible and the killer will receive the 100 percent of all the things that the killed player possesses on his body or storage space.

 

Killer can also receive all of the stats, skills and chaos points of the killed player.

 

The killed player will not die but will return back to the sanctuary with all of their memories removed.

Vikram skimmed through the new notifications with some astonishment and then he thought of another plan to steal all the treasure for himself.

 

He wanted to have 100 percent share of all the treasure.

 

Vikram know the twist of the Treasure Island story where the treasure is not at the location specified by the man.

 

Instead it is in the cave of Ben Gunn.

 

Vikram has the image of the Treasure Island in his phone along with the locations of all the important places.

 

One of them is the location of Ben Gunn’s cave.

 

With that he started to make plan on how to sneak out of the group and get the treasure.

 

The other players might know that the location of treasure is Ben Gunn’s cave but they don’t know where that is.

 

So they have to follow the conventional way of finding the location through story plot.

 

Here Vikram has the advantage over them.

Vikram observed the uneasiness in the eyes of captain Smollet.

 

Vikram know why he is uneasy but he did not point at anything and acted very normally.

 

The journey was smooth without many problems.

 

Jim became close to silver over the journey.

 

The pirates were successfully controlled by silver.

 

There is time when one of the player who is stupid enough to try and join the pirates but was silenced on a stormy night.

 

Similarly there is another player that wanted to inform Lord Trelawney and captain Smollet about the pirates and silver’s plan.

 

But he died on the stormy night too along with the other enthusiast before.

 

With this incident the other players silently closed their mouths and actions……

 

The journey is smooth and Vikram was able to mix in with both the officials and pirates without much problem like he is a natural.

 

One day silver found Vikram to talk.

 

Vikram made sure that there is no one nearby overhearing their conversation.

 

Silver asked Vikram that if he is actually a pirate too.

 

Naturally silver is a reserved person and would not leak out some sensitive things except for the charming protagonist Jim.

 

Vikram smiled and said.

 

“I have expected that much from your people.

 

You are pirates.

 

Well in a way I am a pirate and in a way I am also not a pirate………..

 

Chapter 32: are you a pirate?

 

“I have expected that much from your people.

 

You are pirates.

 

Well since you asked I am going to tell you this, in a way I am a pirate and in a way I am also not a pirate.

 

When I am travelling around the world I once sailed on a pirate ship where I served as their temporary cook.

 

So it is not hard to mix in with you people.

 

As I said before I am a wandering chef.

 

I wanted to be a chef on an official ship after the last time on a pirate ship.

 

So I made it here after finding that Lord Trelawney is going to go on a voyage on a treasure hunt.

 

I don’t have any interest in the treasure but I made a deal with Lord Trelawney that after their treasure hunt the treasure map will be mine.

 

I wanted to keep it as a memory.

 

Since I am not in your way don’t make any moves on me.

 

Think of me as a neutral party who only want the treasure map and nothing else.

 

You can talk to your people and tell me if you accept that.

 

I will not fight you or your people.

 

At the same time I will not help you either.

 

For taking the neutral stance I want the treasure map after your use….”

 

Vikram said to silver making his mood to become better.

 

Based on the movements of Vikram when he is cooking, silver can tell that Vikram is a trained professional.

 

So if possible he doesn’t want Vikram to fight against them.

 

As long as Vikram can keep his promise of neutral stance without any desire for treasure, silver and his men can give him the treasure map after their use.

 

Silver nodded his head and left Vikram to do his own thing.

The other players were also seemingly waiting to follow the plot line.

 

Their plan is to follow Jim to get to Ben Gunn.

 

But Vikram know that meeting Ben Gunn now will not give him any benefits.

 

He was sure that these pirates were lot stronger than they looked.

 

They are at least twice as strong as normal human.

 

Also Vikram knows that they are despicable in fighting using many tricks.

 

Because of this Vikram don’t want to fight with these pirates.

 

Well before boarding the ship Vikram has already made a choice to kill all the pirates along with Lord Trelawney.

 

For that he made some conventional bombs made in India.

 

Anyone can make these bombs with common knowledge on making firecrackers during festivals.

 

He used the gun powder and some other materials that he bought in the market at low prices.

 

After simply refining with the equipment he has and other things he made the bombs that needed to be lit by hand.

 

There is wick at the end of the bomb that needed to be lit and throw the bomb.

 

In India this bomb is covered with glass pieces layer and metal pieces layer to become more effective.

 

Originally these bombs were made when the east India company literally sucking the blood of the people for their profits.

 

Many profiteers were bombed and died in the later stages.

 

Unfortunately this did not turn the situation much.

On the next day captain Smollet sent most of the pirates towards the shore.

 

Vikram did not volunteer to go as he is the second cook that is required to be on the ship in the absence of silver.

 

At the same time Vikram made his stance clear that he did not have any interest in treasure.

 

In order to prove his stance of neutrality Vikram has to stay on the ship.

 

Silver looked deeply towards Vikram.

 

Other than pirates some of the player also made their way to the shore of the island.

 

They wanted to chase Jim to find the location of Ben Gunn’s cave.

 

Unfortunately for them as soon as Jim got on shore he slipped away like a slippery eel in the water.

 

They can only stay there or follow the pirates.

 

Some did follow the pirates but they were all killed without exception.

 

The people that remained on shore did not have food or water.

 

They have to persist like this till the captain and others come ashore.

 

They don’t want to explore the island on their own as they fear getting lost and miss the opportunity.

 

A few days later because of some circumstance captain and the others along with Vikram has to come ashore.

 

They went to the stockade and waited for the next move of the pirates.

 

Vikram silently waited on the side of the camp where he can easily run out of that place towards Ben Gunn’s cave.

 

Vikram know that those pirates would offer peace first then they will attack because of the peace talk is a failure.

 

He wanted to use that confusion to escape from here and get the things he wanted.

 

Finding Ben Gunn’s cave from the stockade is easier than finding the way from the shore.

 

The round trip will only require Vikram around 2 hours at most.

 

Chapter 33: pirates were bombed

That night they are safe.

 

Jim also reunited with them and told them about Ben Gunn.

 

The players that are following captain and the few that came to previously were also here.

 

Before Vikram estimated that over 20 people boarded the ship while the other lost the first task.

 

In those people there are less than 10 people left including Vikram.

 

In the morning silver came with the white flag.

 

But the peace talk failed.

 

Soon the story plot of gun fight appeared.

 

Vikram took the opportunity to sneak away from this place.

 

Both sides thought that Vikram is just making a neutral stance without interfering with the treasure.

 

So they let him go tactically.

 

The other players did not take Vikram seriously and most of them thought of him as a story line character.

 

Vikram escaped from there and quickly made his way to the other side of the mountain area.

 

Vikram has to make sure that he did not get spotted by Ben Gunn.

 

Or he can just put Ben Gunn to sleep using the sleeping gas as he did before during the thefts.

 

With these thoughts Vikram ran at a faster speed like cheetah.

 

After half an hour he reduced his speed and stopped moving.

 

He hid behind a bush and saw a man that seem more like a cave man than a civilized man passing through this area.

 

He was going towards the direction of gun fire to observe the situation.

 

Vikram wanted to use the god send opportunity to steal all the treasure.

 

But he did not move immediately instead he moved slowly while observing the surroundings to see if there are any players in the area.

 

He did not take long to check as he doesn’t want Ben Gunn to return while he was stealing the treasure.

 

Vikram entered the cave with the thoughts of killing any one that might obstruct him from stealing the treasure.

 

Inside the cave there are only some basic necessities at the beginning.

 

As he moved forward the cave narrowed down and there is a mud wall that seems to be manmade instead of naturally formed mud wall.

 

Vikram know that the treasure should be behind this mud wall.

 

He doesn’t mind exposing himself a little so he started to break the mud wall to one corner.

 

After taking the treasures he wanted to reconstruct the mud wall so that there is not much problem.

 

Vikram's body is very athletic.

 

With his delicate movements Vikram burrowed through the mud wall.

 

The insides are dark and he used a light stick to light some light to look at the treasures.

 

There are golden statues, small mounds of gold coins, jewels…..

Next day Jim really steered the ship towards this small cove.

 

Well it is not magic but perfectly calculated series of events by Vikram.

 

Vikram know that the stockade was already filled with silver’s men that are pirates.

 

But his safety is guaranteed as he is in a neutral position right now.

 

Soon the story progressed just like that of the original story with silver betraying the pirates.

 

When the pirates realized that the buried treasure is gone they turned on silver to attack.

 

But because of the gun shots from the woods from doctor and Ben Gunn the pirates wanted to run away

 

When pirates ran out of range from Jim and silver a bomb was dropped on their running way.

 

As soon as the bomb exploded the pirates were injured.

 

Jim and silver stopped to look back seeing Vikram holding a big bomb and a lighter on his other hand.

 

They were shocked.

 

Vikram did not gave the pirates a chance to escape as he throw another bomb on to the long boat that the pirates that just boarded.

 

Because of the close range blast the pirates died on the spot.

 

Vikram ran towards then killing the injured pirates one by one and collected the drop boxes.

 

He went all the way to the damaged long boat to collect the drop boxes with a dagger in his hand.

 

When all the boxes were collected Vikram turned around and came back towards Jim and silver that are standing there stunned.

 

Story line characters will not be able to see the drop boxes, but the players alive will be able to see them without any problem.

 

Before coming here Vikram went to the location where the injured captain and Lord Trelawney are waiting for doctor and Ben Gunn.

 

Vikram silently sprayed some sleeping gas in the area making them fall asleep.

 

Then he pierced a poisonous needle into the neck of Lord Trelawney.

 

This will act after Lord Trelawney wakes up and he will die very painfully.

 

Vikram then moved to attack the pirates.

 

When the things with the pirates are done Vikram returned towards Jim and silver.

 

They were so astounded that they stood there like wooden chickens.

 

“Why are you standing still lets go back first and treat your injuries.”

 

Silver has a slight chill running down his spine when he saw the explosion just now.

 

Previously he has a thought of acting against Vikram but now, he was a little fearful towards Vikram………..

 

Chapter 34: Lord Trelawney is dead

 

Previously he has a thought of acting against Vikram but now, he was a little fearful towards Vikram.

 

The group made their way back to stockade where captain and Lord Trelawney are waiting.

 

At that time Ben Gunn has revealed that he has already dug up the treasure and is hidden in his cave.

 

The people were overjoyed.

 

On the way Vikram observed that the other players are a little envious of the gains of Vikram.

 

There are at least a dozen boxes that Vikram obtained just now.

 

Well they did not have the courage to attack Vikram so they can only shut their mouths and move forward.

 

They are still looking forward for a share in the treasure.

 

Unfortunately for them Vikram has already looted all the treasure hidden in the cave.

Description: in any world with the presence of pirate captain flint this treasure map can point towards his treasure.

 

Condition: this item can be used only one time in any world with a pirate captain flint.

 

That would should still have value for metals or money (Zombie worlds with no value to treasure is useless)

 

If there is no pirate captain flint then the treasure map is useless…..

By the time they made it back to the stockade captain Smollet is still unconscious but Lord Trelawney is having a seizure with foam coming out of his mouth.

 

Doctor immediately moved forward to look at the condition of Lord Trelawney while Vikram is laughing inside.

 

But his expressions did not change at all.

 

Vikram also moved closure towards Lord Trelawney.

 

Based on his estimate Lord Trelawney will die soon.

 

The poison that he put into Lord Trelawney is special.

 

It will not let the person loose his consciousness and gives a pain so strong like its bones are melting inside the body.

 

It will be like that based on the resistance of the poisoned person and finally kills him.

 

Vikram silently moved toward Lord Trelawney and right when he died Vikram collected the drop box into his storage space.

 

“Story line character Lord Trelawney killed by the player.

 

Reward: 500 chaos points, 3 free attribute points, 30 military merit points, drop box

 

The other players did not notice any change.

 

Doctor checked the body of Lord Trelawney and found that he was poisoned and every one became cautious of each other.

 

Naturally the doctor asked the people to move the corpse of Lord Trelawney to the ship before they go and get the treasure.

As soon as he boards the ship the fantasy world will end.

 

Vikram wanted to wait till all the drop boxes he has are opened.

 

But before that he wanted all these people to leave to get the treasure from Ben Gunn’s cave.

 

They are also decided to find the criminal that killed Lord Trelawney.

 

Doctor found the needle mark on the back of the neck of Lord Trelawney.

 

He deduced that Lord Trelawney was killed by someone he knows because there are no marks of struggle.

 

So he told that everyone will be checked after they brought back the treasure.

 

Vikram did not go with them instead told them that he is going to cook for them something to eat by the time they come back with treasure.

 

They all simply accepted it

 

Vikram watched them leave as he stood by the ship.

 

Then he started to take out the drop boxes one by one.

 

Most of them are mud boxes where he got a few bronze coins and some scrap from them.

 

Then came the boxes of wood which gave a little more bronze coins, a dagger used by pirate and some scrap.

 

Finally he took out the drop box from Lord Trelawney which is an iron box that gave him some silver, a flint lock single round gun.

 

He observed the scrap that did not have any value.

 

If the scrap is piled up to 10 kilograms then Vikram would get 1 chaos points for the value of mental energy of the fantasy world.

 

Then he looked at the money.

 

It can be exchanged just like with the other coins without any reduction in value.

 

Then the pirate’s dagger is a tier 1 mud grade weapon that did not have much value.

After making sure that everything is okay Vikram boarded the ship.

 

Immediately he felt one of the cabin doors has emitting bright light.

 

Vikram moved there and opened the door.

 

There is a light portal and Vikram entered the portal.

 

In the next second Vikram appeared in a beach like space with a starry sky.

 

The water did not have many waves and everything is peaceful with beautiful reflections of stars in the water.

 

The only strange thing here is the light screen that appeared in front of him.

 

There are checklists and calculations of what he accomplished on the testing fantasy world.

“If there are any critical conditions then the player’s life will be in suspended animation state with his will free to move.

 

After receiving the rewards player can heal his injuries with the help of fantasy system before leaving the fantasy bridge space of rewards and punishments.”

 

Vikram understood the information that just mentioned means and he patiently waited for the calculations to be done.

 

Finally it showed that Vikram has completed the mission successfully and the percentage of treasure he got is 100 percent.

For that Vikram received a reward list.

Katherine watched the scenes one after the other from their hot steamy scenes to the death scene of Lord Trelawney.

 

Katherine let out a happy smile looking at the painful death of Lord Trelawney.

 

She hugged Vikram even tighter and thanked him for killing Lord Trelawney with all the pain he should feel.

 

Previously she did not react to Vikram because she was looking at the endless starry skies around her.

 

It gave a strange feeling to her that is like oppression and sadness.

 

But with the death of Lord Trelawney her thoughts changed and felt that this place is peaceful and romantic too.

 

When they are immersed in that state the final calculation is done.

But Vikram hoarded all of that for himself resulting in such a bulk some of money.

 

After that another list appeared showing the items in the storage space for Vikram to choose.

 

He simply chose the items that he wanted to keep and the remaining to be sold directly.

 

The items that he chose were placed in his 1 meter size cubic storage space and the remaining were sold to the system.

 

Well all the things are gold, silver and bronze along with the scrap…..

 

Chapter 36: rewards of the Treasure Island part 2

Previously Vikram thought that these items would be compensated for the contracts he made with the lords.

 

But now he got extra benefits.

 

The contracted succeeded and along with that these goods are considered as stolen goods by the system.

 

Then the risk factor that Vikram chose was also added to that.

 

All in all the final rewards that Vikram got after the risk factor of 200 percent with doom level setting are.

 

1.      3.4 million chaos points

2.      214 free attribute points

3.      2140 military merit points

 

These rewards did not include the points or other things that he got through killing pirates or guards.

 

Well there is not improvement in them as they were already awarded and settled right away.

 

But all of that is nothing more than pocket change with what he has got just now.

The darkness is still there in the form of power struggle within the families, as the country is maintained by a council of kings.

Family clusters are formed by groups of various families……….

 

So everyone in this country is interrelated with strict hierarchy.

 

Dark politics is a very common thing that can happen from the grass root level to improve the strength of an individual and the family behind them.

This is the country where people that don’t want to be under the systems of holy empire or the oriental live.

Individually the people of the free country are far stronger than any other clan or power of holy empire or oriental country.

 

But if the collective power of oriental country or holy empire acted then any small power of free country cannot resist.

So free people country is like a lawless zone unless one had a strong backer for support.

Well the misfits and cannon fodder will always go to the free country to die because of their stupidity.

 

The three big islands including the beginner’s island is collectively called as Cluster Island.

 

Adjacent to the human cluster island there are other cluster islands that have other species on them as their own cluster islands.

 

The area they occupied is small in the outer ring are called the tier 1 ring.

 

No one knows how the structure of the real world is like.

There are many small island clusters were there with beginner’s platforms that can bring people from the sanctuaries only on outer edge of the first ring.

 

Well there are people living in the real world too.

 

They are called native people and the people that live in sanctuaries were the descendents of these native people.

 

It is said that there are powerful people in the past that reached the tenth ring and obtained the power to create those sanctuaries to save the people from some ultimate crisis.

 

The records of that are gone a long time ago and no one knows what happened in the past.

The 10 rings are also had their own importance.

 

Well only a portion of these 10 rings is explored and there are many dangers in the ocean.

 

Most of the ancient records were destroyed because of some reason and the records of the current world structure are the only things that are left.

 

Even they are very vague.

 

In the vast ocean there are many islands of various sizes that appear out of thin air.

 

Some are on the water, some are floating in the air and some of them are even under water.

 

The environment of those islands also varies and is filled with corresponding monsters which are collectively called as chaos monsters.

 

These monsters are hunted for genetic essence, their spirit and any drop items.

 

Just like the fantasy world the real world also has a system.

 

The chaos monsters, islands and all things…have broadly divided along with the rings.

 

Inside the ring 1 all of the monsters, islands and things are all tier 1.

 

There are other classifications for monsters, islands…..

 

Islands are divided into resource islands, safe islands, ruins islands…..

 

Safe islands are where the players or explorers can enter and stay safe.

 

On these safe islands all attacks are invalid.

 

This means monsters cannot attack players and players cannot attack each other.

 

But that is not the case on the oceans.

 

On this safe island it is possible to enter the fantasy worlds where the system notifies them about entry.

Next the resource islands has resources required to improve the ark can be bought in the fantasy system.

 

Along with the resources there will be chaos monsters on those islands.

 

These chaos monsters are the main source for getting the genetic essence for the players to improve their strength.

 

These resource islands will always move towards the safe islands and the monsters on these resource islands will attack the safe islands to eliminate non chaos beings or to be precise normal sentience beings.

 

The resources islands present in the first ring are all tier 1 and if it is in the second ring it is a tier 2 resource island.

 

These resource islands are further graded into 10 categories based on the potential of the resources obtainable on that specific resource island.

 

They are random, basic, ordinary, common, uncommon, unique, rare, epic, legendary, and mythical.

 

Higher the potential of the material is higher the usage and need for the material to produce powerful pills or artifacts or other things.

 

Well the potential of the island cannot be explained unless players went and explored the resource island.

Ruin Island is the islands that have the remnants of the past civilization.

 

There is a chance of finding secret scrolls, skill books, stored wealth, artifacts……

 

But they rarely appear in the lower level rings.

The players cannot just travel in the ocean using the normal boats and they need arks of the players to travel.

 

The ark is a special artifact that players that wants to move to higher rings should have.

 

The initial level players might not have their own arks but if they want to move to the higher rings the ark is a must.

 

Also some of the details of the ark are related to civilian merit points which are important for the development in the fantasy system.

The ark is a special artifact and only players can have it.

 

They can buy it from the fantasy system store for 10,000 chaos points.

 

Don’t compare it with the chaos points Vikram has 10,000 chaos points is a very high number.

 

Some of the players might not be able to make 5000 chaos points in a single fantasy world.

 

For this reason players work, hunt and sell some things to gain more chaos points.

The ark is like a home to players.

 

It has 2 forms mainly first is the boat form and the second is the island form.

 

Once an arc is bought by the player it will become a small version of a rowing raft.

 

It is portable and easy to carry in their small storage space.

 

After placing it in the water it can be turned into the two types.

 

First is a raft with the size of one square meter.

 

Then the second is the island that is around 10 square meters.

 

Turning from boat version to island version requires time and also costs chaos points every time.

 

Here players can store their things safely but they cannot be taken out easily like they did with their storage spaces.

 

This place is like a room where they live while the storage space is like their pocket that is by the side of the hand.

 

In the island mode people can live inside.

 

All the subordinate of a player can live here without any problem even if the thing is turned into a portable size to carry with the player.
